Travel ideas for the Minnesota dwellers
One way I thought that having a blog might be handy is for sharing info, just like one would share via email, but this way it's more shared and more visible - easy to get back to.
Example:
We were watching a show: Offbeat America, and saw that some people in New York Mills, Minnesota had moved into a house right next to a railroad line and embraced that by procuring several old train cars and renovating them. I found out that you can actually stay there (and I know you previous Ohio dwellers can stand the train sounds) as a Bed and Breakfast. Though David was quick to remind me that they said something like 50 trains go by a day. That may be too much for anyone. Perhaps the whirlpools help you forget the sounds!
Here's a map that shows where the town is - not too far for a weekend getaway from Maple Grove.
Here's the website for the Whistle Stop Inn Bed and Breakfast.
