Tennessee Aquarium

Hi all! I thought I would post our escapade to Chattanooga last Thursday where we took in both aquarium buildings, the "River adventure" and the "Ocean Adventure", a 3D Imax film "Deep Sea 3D", and a stop at the Cold Stone Creamery.

The aquariums were exceptional. Much more than fish! There was a butterfly garden area, reminiscent of the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. There was a petting area for stingrays and some other large fish whoose name escapes me. They also had several reptiles and amphibians as well as some more insects. Very well done all in all and very nicely located in a very walkable downtown Chattanooga. Oh yeah, free parking was a plus too!

The 3D effects of the film were the best I have ever experienced! You felt like you could reach out and touch most things as if they were right in your lap. The weather was very nice although the river front made for a very cool breeze down at the pier.

I think we all agreed that the ice cream was very good but, we all had gotten too much of a good thing as our bowls were deceptively large.

I took several pictures during the day. I have attached a few below for your enjoyment.

David
